Little Angels is a home for children with special needs, situated in Somerset West in the Western Cape. We are a full-time, community-based care facility dedicated to empowering and encouraging our Little Angels to develop to their full potential by improving their physical or mental performance and thus enjoying a better quality of life. We aim to provide a safe haven for the children and ensure that they receive the correct and proper medication and treatment, special care that their parents often cannot afford to provide.
We currently provide a permanent home for 17 children, varying between the ages of 3 to 23 years old. These children are very special and dear to our hearts. you only have to spend a little time with them to realize their immense potential and get to know their flourishing personalities. The best thing we can give these Angels, is unconditional tender, love and care.
The Board is made up of volunteers from the community who are prepared to contribute their expertise, time and love to the residents and staff of Little Angels home. Thanks to our incredibly competent board, Little Angels has a very bright future.

Our staff are an integral part of the treatment and care of our Angels. In return, Little Angels take care of them and ensure that they are adequately compensated for their hard work and dedication. We currently have 16 staff members.
The staff is managed by Tanya De Jager, a qualified nurse. The staff is divided into shifts, as we need to provide care on a 24 × 7 basis. Each shift during the day consists of 3 caregivers, 1 cook and a cleaning lady. The manager and supervisor support them. Two caregivers together with a cook form the night shift.
We also need to ensure that all the caregivers are properly trained to look after the special needs of our residents. Most of our residents have very limited physical abilities but it is still vitally important for us to develop them to their maximum capacity. This can only be achieved if our staff is properly trained to assist with this process.
